Do you enjoy planting annuals in your Cincinnati landscape and want year round color in your landscaping from spring until fall?

In the industry we call this “rotating flower beds”.

This can be achieved by establishing one or more areas in your landscape as focal points for color. These areas can be any shape or size, but should be big enough to make a visual impact.

After areas are established they need to be prepared for planting. The area should be tilled to a depth of 6-8” and a growing mix added and tilled again.

Once the area is graded, a general 12-12-12 fertilizer can be applied and raked in before planting. You’re now ready for planting for any season.

This can be started at any point in the season, but spring is recommended. You should till and prepare beds before every floral display - spring, summer and fall.
